The Great Yellow Gentian

I know it's over,
I know we're through,
but I'm still not quite done with you.

I haven't seen you in half a year,
But sometimes I still shed a tear.
Because the days we spent together,
Still haunt me in this summer weather.

So why don't you leave me alone,
And stop encasing me in stone.
You said you want me to be free?
Then stay the hell away from me!

You still tell stories,
You keep in touch,
And for a friend a bit too much.

You haven't loved me in half a year,
But what I feel is still left unclear,
Because no other girl thus far,
Could make me love a wishing star.

So why don't you leave me alone,
And stop encasing me in stone.
You said you want me to be free?
Then stay the hell away from me!

We haven't kissed in half a year,
But to this day I still feel fear,
Because too rarely I forget,
That you're the source of my regret.

We still play games,
We can't stop talking,
But I would like to keep on walking.

So why don't you leave me alone,
And stop encasing me in stone.
You said you want me to be free?
Then stay the hell away from me!

Our minds might change in half a year,
But as for now, it should be clear,
That nothing's changed, since last I said,
That I can't just be friends instead.

Our hearts aren't flying,
Hell, mine is crawling,
From the way you sent me falling.

So why don't you leave me alone,
And stop encasing me in stone.
You said you want me to be free?
Then stay the hell away from me!

(So why do I leave you alone,
And have you blocked out on my phone,
I said I wanted to be free,
But it seems you hold the only key.)

The last chorus part was written awhile after the rest of the song, so I can't decide if I should leave it in or not, since it changes the whole feel of the song a bit (as have the feelings in that month).
