Ok... I looked at him playing the guitar live to this song... I have the chords to the song ...those weren't a problem... And playing the chords in standard tuning along with the song sound good...
However, when I try to get the intro and the individual notes the only way I could get it sounding exactly like it should along with the video is if I put the guitar in drop d tuning and played the riff on the low e string...
However that is the dilemma as the way I play it are not the frets that he uses .... So my question is this... And this is what I believe... I believe that what we are hearing is the BASS guitar and not the regular guitar at all... In other words heis playing along with the bass guitar at a higher pitch but drowned out by the bass guitar....
Do you have any thoughts about this at all....
Like I stated I have the chords down but to have the intro riff and the riff he is basically playing throughout the song it just doesn't sound as BASSY as he is playing and thus why I think what we are hearing is the bass guitar .....
So that someone else may help I will post the video and see what others think

By the way, if I do the song I would base it on this one

^He seems to be in C standard. Low string is in C and it doesn't seem dropped as he hits the open strings at the very end and they're in tune
