How do you begin a KDS* heavy metal track? With a fukkin' ripper of a guitar solo. Nothing pierces my soul like a track kicking into a fukkin' ripper of a guitar solo.

Hail!

The best thing about Pagan Altar? KDS guitar leads.

That Mercyful Fate one makes me hard.

If I could write beautiful poetry, I'd dedicate my sincerest ode to heavy metal guitar leads.

This isn't metal, but I think it deserves a mention.. Intro solo to Holiday by Weezer.

That solo is so sexy.

On a similar not-exactly-metal (but slightly more metally... slightly) note, the intro solo to 'Can't We Move This' by Dinosaur Jr is fairly beastly in my books. The rest of the song (apart from the second solo) doesn't really match up in 'heavyness' so might not be to most in the metal forum's tastes (seriously, a not-great singer attempting falsetto).

since Brocas Helm was mentioned, this is literally one of the coolest tapped solos.

the fact that this is guitar is impressive.

Yes! Manilla fukkin' Road

That Charger track is God-tier NWOBHM. I didn't make this thread for pure shit like RATM.

EDIT: Post-NWOBHM if you want to be anal about it.

I came here specifically to drop Flaming Metal Systems, because Manilla Road are Fucking glorious. Predictably beaten to it.

Listened to this earlier though, and it fits well enough.
