I have an Arbor acoustic guitar. The passive bridge pickup had a short in it so I pulled the strings off . Low and behold, the wire was disconnected from the input jack. It appears there was a solder between the two brackets of the input jack and one wire coming from the jack. Does this sound accurate? If so, should the wire come from the middle of the pre-existing solder or connect to one of the tabs protruding from the jack? Any input would be nice. I could not find a schematic. My gear has been collecting dust since I became a father so I am trying to get into repairs. I have plenty to do and figured this would be a good place to start. Thanks!
Well if there is only 1 wire that came off, there is only one place it can go man.
Which is where? Where does it get soldered? To which protruding tab? Or in between them?
Anyways, I got some help from a friend. It is working great now. Thanks for your input.
