Is the B52 AT100 a good amp head?
Quick answer: Yes and no.
i hear good things about how the amp sounds. i have heard lots of bad things about the amp's longevity, many people have problems keeping the amp working.
^ this. they tend to fry out. the tubes always seem to run super hot for some reason. dont bother to use any other rectification mode than the solid state. the rectifier tubes in mine blew out every time i used them. the reverb transformer in those seem to go out alot. BUT it has no effect on playability you just wont have reverb. with that being said. when they run right they are a decent sounding cheap tube amp with alot of power behind them.
