This. Great movie sober, but watching it high I'd bet is insane.

Inception as well.

Any David Lynch movie really, but Inland Empire is probably your best bet.

Also, Requiem for A Dream.

Edit: Actually, if you are going to get blazed, skip Inland Empire. Don't want to see you insitutionalised.

If you're a fan of sci-fi, "Event Horizon" had some thought-provoking concepts. Sadly, that movie had a lot of untapped potential...

"Flight" really took me by surprised and, if you're stoned, good luck with that... well, you'll find out

"Shawshank Redemption" should have been the first movie on this list.

Donnie Darko isn't as thought provoking as it is just plain "wtf did I just watch"

A Clockwork Orange is a much better wtf film if we're throwing Kubrick titles in the mix.

It's not thought provoking in the way that 2001 or Donnie Darko are, but Garden State always gets me thinking/feeling.

Primer, its about two guys that accidentally discover time travel. It was written by a mathematician and engineer and isn't simplified at all. If you claim to understand it after the first time watching you're either lying or a savant.

Since so many others have suggested Cloud Atlas (one of my faovrite movies of all time), I'm going to suggest a movie that I feel nails the whole "interconnectivity over time and space" better than Cloud Atlas:

Alejandro González Iñárritu's Babel.

Amazing movie in so many ways.

I wouldn't call all these movies "thought provoking" though some of them definitely are, but they are all good movies to watch blazed. Some of them are mind**** movies, others have twist endings or ask poignant questions to get you thinking, while other's are just plain cool.

Don't bother with 2001: A Space Oddysey it's shit Inception is pretty average too.
There are a few in this thread that I haven't seen yet so will be checking the out soon.

For whatever reason Pan's Labyrinth always made me think quite a bit afterwards as well. That movie always resonated with me more than it should.
