Most Doors album closed with an awesome song. And almost always the longest song

The End - The Doors
When The Music's Over- Strange Days (One ofmy favourite songs by them)
Five To One - Waiting For The Sun
Riders On The Storm - L.A Woman.

Other's are:

Vigil on As The Palaces Burn by Lamb Of God makes an awesome closer

Venice Queen on By The Way

Where The River Goes on Stone Temple Pilots' Core is good.

The Last Baron - Mastodon.

Beyond the Pale by Pain Of Salvation is not bad.

Diary Of A Madman from Diary of a Madman

Hurt on The Downard Spiral.
Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise

The Doberman - Kasabian's Empire (One of maybe three good songs on the whole album though.)

Carolina Drama - Raconteurs' Consoler for the Lonely

Something in the Way - Nirvana
All Apologies - Nirvana (assuming we don't count bonus tracks)

Wallpaper from Perfect Confusion

Marshal Dear from Savages
My old signature was too long. Have a daisy.

Eclipse from Dark Side. Not a long song, but I freaking love it. Can't think of too many others, I could give you a hell of a list for openers, but not closers, which are just as important and often overlooked

The Abbey Road Medley is a pretty epic album closer... God i love that album.. i know it's not one song, but it is just so fluid and connected, so i'd say that it counts. The Rising ends with "My city of ruins" which is also a fantastic song imo.. But... Highway 61 Revisited has one of the best song ever written as it's closing track.. It's simply fantastic. Desolation Row
There's only one boss I listen to, and that's why I'm unemployed.

Arjen Lucassen has never ended an album on a bad song. Not with Ayreon or any other project.
Q: Favourite Pink Floyd song?
A: The one where they get wicked high and play Emin and A for an hour.

Green Grass and High Tides The Outlaws - Outlaws
Riders on the Storm The Doors - LA Woman
Walk Foo Fighters - Wasting Light
Whatsername Green Day - American Idiot
Hallowed Be Thy Name Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast
One Minute to Midnight Justice - Cross (not including the bonus last song)
How Many More Times Led Zep 1
Three Minute Warning Liquid Tension Experiment
Danger- Keep Away Slipknot - Vol III

Three Minute Warning is just a ridiculously good improv session to close out a ridiculously good instrumental album. The rest are just great songs that wrap up their albums really damn well.
