Hello I am new to this forum. I was wondering if the new Peavey bandit 112's with transtube technology would be good for gigs. This would only be a temporary amp until I can get enough money to upgrade

My music style is generally metal. With the exception of Nu-Metal

The Bandit is loud enough and if you have the right pedals it will be fine.

Also, look for a used one. The guitar center used section has a crap-load of them ranging from $100 to $180 depending on the version. And don't worry about getting a dud one either, because these things tend to be like roaches and just won't quit. Plus, GC has a 30-day money back guarantee if you don't like it (even on used gear).
