No that should not be like that, that is the OT. As long as it plays fine you should be OK.

If you want the Krank emblem you can buy them here www.krankamps.com

There's something wrong with it. It almost sounds like a rattling distortion. I can turn up the volume but it barely gets to room volume. Maybe a blown tube? I have no clue. The Clean channel is like that, as well. Here are some pics of the tubes while it's on.

Well, as much as I hate to say it, if it is already busted (that crooked OT is discomforting) I would send it back for refund. I can't believe Tony would send an amp out like that though... that thing honestly looks like it has seem some shit. If you absolutely want to keep it, take it to a tech unless you are reasonably familiar with this sort of thing, or don't mind becoming so with this amp.

Yeah, it came from Krank. There is definitely something wrong with it. They're filing a claim and UPS is going to pay for the repairs. I figured out the volume problem. However, the volume was fluxuating, and the Krank channel didn't have a lot of gain. I had it up to 9 and it only had a little more than an overdrive.

Yeah get it sorted and those are nice amps.

I'd say one of the preamp tubes is dodgey. Find me a a schematic and I'll tell you which one. The OT looks like somebody's taken to it with a hammer. I wouldn't be happy if an amp showed up on my doorstep looking like that.

Lol, okay. Then this is A NCD. New cab day. Avatar 212 loaded with a Hellatone 60, and a Greenback. Sounds really nice. Got nice tight, punchy tone.

yeah, that is a not good. i guess it could be worse, my buddy got a dr. z where the OT came loose and rolled around the inside of the amp, smashing all the glass and denting the hell outta the chassis.

sounded like a maraca was in the box instead of an amp.
punk isn't dead, it's always smelled that way.

Ya, that is completely unacceptable. Surely something happened in shipping, I have a hard time believing Tony let it leave like that.

Happy NCD and (sorta) NAD though! Hope you get it all sorted

Krank used thin and cheap, almost tin like metal for their transformer brackets. They are notorious for bending under the weight when the amp is put/left standing on its end.
