im trying to find a good metal sound using LePou plugins, i'm using the le456 and can't seem to find a decent impluse to back it up with, what are some good ones used? ive heard good things about catharisis? which ones specifically? Using the LePou impluse loader as well.

Also what are some good free vsts for midi drums? we've got a drum brain some trigs and midi out just need the software to write for the midi tracks correct?

Any suggestions? tips?

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

or are there any cheap-er-ish under 100? that i could get a good metal drum sound out of?

Again using a drum brain with midi out.

Currently i found a program called drumcore seems like it has some potential?

Steven Slate custom pack, it's the smallest pack they do and it's only like $40 or something. It'll kick ass at metal.

Today....haha

I ran the Brain2 chain like this....Dig2 FX (Noize gate), Brain2, Aradaz Cabinets emulators.
It sounds kickbutt. The aradaz isn't pretty but it gives easy adjustments and kick butt sounds.
I like the Aradaz...quick and easy.

You can also get DiG2.0 for free . The rack has caninet emulators on it or download the FX separately. All the Acembargig single heads has tube drivers or treblemaster built in.
You have to click on the little logos or buttons then you'll see it.
You can also get the pickup emulators for free...that's cool to have also.

I also like the Ignite Cabinet emulators. That thing kickbutt too.
You can also add wav. files into the cabinets to emulate more different sounds.
I run Amp-X through it. AmpX also has a secondary menu. I like it.

I have all those free amp vst racks and singles. They all sound good. You just have to
play with them to get the sounds you want. The cabinet emulators makes it sounds good.

I still have trouble with drums. I don't really want to spend a lot of time making drum
loops.
I currently just download drumtracks from youtube and import it into Reaper.
I don't know how to use Reaper that good yet.
I want to be able to cut it as a single track or all of it...then loop it.
Can anyone help me on this?
This way I can cut and paste the live drum tracks into whatever I want....

I run everything through my little practice amp. It's little but it's 40watts.
No wonder it's stupid loud for it's size I thought is was only a 15watts.lmao

Sennheiser Drummica is free, and I've heard some pretty good metal sounds out of it with the right processing.

Cool thanks...

I also use the Madshifta as a PITCH BENDER to get those Purdy sounding tones
when doing triads, melodies, riffs or whatever the heck death scales.
I usually set to -3rd or -5th, 10% delay, 25% wet.
It's just a delay with pitch altering but it's cool to have.

I saw satriani used it coupled with a wha pedal in concert. He made it scream and weep
at the sametime.lmao He uses it on WHY....
I used to couple it with my wha on my gt8.

It's a very good base, just add layering with kick and snare samples to taste and it rocks.
