So It's going to cost me 50 dollars in parts to build, the Fuzz Factory, Machine, and Woolly Mammoth. That's about 900 worth of pedals, oh and I'm building a V4 Big Muff (the one with the Op-Amp that Billy Corgan uses). Proves that most of the price of those pedals is the paintjob.
Someone is wrong on the internet. Only you can help.

Most of the price of everything is distribution, which includes retailing, marketing, import/export and so on.

Said that, what's the meaning of your post?
Name's Luca.

Clue: amplifiers amplify so don't turn it on if you need quiet.

I guess spambots are now capable of reading minds.

If you haven't figured out that companies mark up their items far higher than the cost of parts in them, then you should probably spend some time in the real world... This happens everywhere, not just with pedal builders.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.
