WOW

The Epitome is just a monster, you have a Micro Pog, a Electric Mistress and a Holy Grail Plus in one single unit but with some neat extra stuff, the shimmer switch plays with the signal order and lets you get different textures and effects.

The Superego is a very powerful tool for creative people, it lets you create textures holding chords or notes, playing a lead line with some effects in the Fx Loop do a very interesting job!

It took me a while to decide which power source to get to feed all my pedals and the Voodoo Lab 4x4 convinced me, it has 4x9V and 2x12V high current (400mA each) outputs and 4 regular 100mA 9V. It will perfectly cover the pedals I have right now and more to come...

Now... What's next? Finally, the fuzz I was looking for!

Neat stuff for sure!!

Fuzzhugger Algal Bloom. It's pretty versatile fuzz with enough gain for Hard Rock (or Heavy Metal/Sludge with my Tubescreamer) and with some interesting tweaks, I chose mine with a Silicon/Germanium choke switch. The most interesting stuff about this fuzz lies in the Starve control, it controls how much voltage is delivered so you can emulate a dying battery effect. Another thing I love about this particular pedal is that you can get some really nice dynamics, something you can't get with most fuzzes.

But wait!!! There is more!!!!

What? A guitar? :O

I always wanted one! Let's gig with it!!!

This guitar can do LOTS of good sounds, I use it to play from Jazz/Funk to Hard Rock and Metal. It's a pretty light guitar and I really love the nice classic rock tone I get by using it with my Mesa RA100. It just ROCKS! The ONLY thing I don't like is the Vol pot position. I need it just next to the bridge pick up since I love playing with volume swells. For the price I think it's a really nice guitar. You can feel the quality as soon as you grab it, plus it looks killer!

What do you think guys?

That's righteous dude. I really want to try a Fuzzhugger, and I have a hard on for all SGs.
I'm just a kickin' and a gougin' in the mud and the blood and the beer.

See, it's important that people clarify when they say "metal", because I pretty much always assume they are a Cannibal Corpse fanboi.

dannyalcatraz: the Epitome is for modulation lovers but who want something a bit different, I do think EHX has it's own sound and one great thing is that they let you control a lot of the parameters that affect the sound. With this unit, for example, you can recreate the sound of a organ with a Leslie, get a nice spacial effect, hell, you can even add delay to the modulated effect you get from the flanger and the chorus effect. There is a nice video from EHX that shows you the tip of the iceberg, you should check it out. The only details you should have in mind is you can have a little volume drop on very wet reverb settings or with the Micro Pog, with the Micro Pog you can solve it with the controls though.

Amazing unit, it's just a lot a fun and a great tool for shaping new sounds and for creating interesting stuff. Mix it with the Superego and you are talking serious shit my friend!

Thank you all for your comments.

About the SG I just think that for a guitar that feels, play, and sounds this great I believe it offers a really great value. Actually it is my favorite guitar this far and I have owned a Parker Fly Deluxe, an Ibby JS1000 and other high end instruments. This is simplicity and quality at it's greatness. It just screams and is really versatile.

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Thank you so much for your input guys.

ikey_ That RA with the Orange is my pride, it took me a while to choose them and to gather the money, can't be happier .

That little pedal is a Catalinbread Ottava Magus, works awesome for thick psychedelic melodies!

I hear you bro, that size is perfect!
