I liked the guitar playing on the track. I was really impressed by the overall quality of the track, especially the drums. They are well defined in the mix, and are definitely some of the better mixed drums I've heard here recently.

I'd appreciate if you had a listen to my track

Good job. I liked the chill mood the track had. It didn't have too much stuff in it which is a good thing. Though it sometimes sounded a bit repetitive but it kind of fit the mood. The drums were a bit aggressive. They could have been more chill to fit what the other instruments played. And maybe the drum sounds were also a bit too aggressive. They sounded kind of too harsh to this kind of song.

Hands down, this is excellent. Guitar playing is very solid, and the overall sound is sublime and atmospheric. It is right down my musical alley as it is taking elements of folk, post rock, shoegaze, and maybe even some additional genres and blending them seamlessly. The only thing I would add would be some vocals as others have alluded here to, but it is highly memorable and very catchy. Fairly dark in sound, but not so much depressive; more melancholy. Kind of like listening to music by Alcest, a band known for blending black metal elements with really soft and soothing soundscapes and textures. Without vocals, the track sort of just runs a little bit too long for my instrumental tastes; with vocals it would be perfect. No complaints here.

Awesome track! Very chill and like everyone else has said, great playing. I really dig this style of music. I do agree with some other posters, however, the drums do sound a bit to prominent at parts. Its a very cool groove but they're a little too "in your face" I think. Great work though!

Heres my latest, albeit random piece of work. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/foru...d.php?t=1634994

Love the style. Reminds me a bit of certain softer Opeth songs. What mic did you use for the guitars by the way. The bass also sounds really really good. Im curious how you recorded it as well. DI? What DI? or amp. The overall track sounds very nice. Only thing would be that it would be nice to have some vocals

Thanks!! I actually used an MXL 991 Condenser from this package MXL PACK I think they sound great for the price, and this song was the first time I even used one so I haven't really had much experience with them yet.

The bass was DI right into my interface and I used Amplitube 3 for amp modeling. I was thinking about doing vocals but I'm not much of a singer. Always kinda wanted to try though so maybe I'll add them soon

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm loving the honest feedback on what I can improve and I'm loving the fact that people seem to be enjoying my work. This is a great forum! School is a bit stressful right now but I will get back to reviewing the rest of you guys up top who commented very soon!

Thank you!

Hey man, I really enjoyed that. Great vibe and laidback feel and I love that main melody. Recording and mixing is good quality. Just one minor thing I think the cymbal hits are too loud and need to be a bit more subtle. But its superior drummer and not real drums so not much u can do. Overall Id say you did an awesome job !

I absolutely love your acoustic sound. I commented on that in SC. The bass is very well-played, but it's a bit loud in the mix compared to the acoustic and drums. It overpowers the other instruments. Definitely some great instrumental hooks throughout the entire track. I noticed some extremely subtle synth/string(?) sounds distant in the background. What is that? It sounds almost human-like. The composition as a whole is gorgeous. Great quality. I went to follow, but it seems I already am. The track in general reminds me of some good CKY tunes.
