Hey guys, today i started to learn the song "Midnight Blues" by the great Gary Moore. But in the solo part, there is something very special, i dont know how he's doing that.

It sounds maybe like a muted pinch harmonic, im not sure... anyway here is the song:

And what i'm looking for is at 02:35. Whatever this is, it sounds great. Can someone tell me ? Thanks !

Its just a failed pinch harmonic.

You could probably do it by leaving the side of your thumb there for a bit of extra time after you do a harmonic.
I'm always screwing with my rig. Muh chilluns:
Warmoth NRFR strat JB/Jazz
Mesa Boogie Royal Atlantic, Diezel 2x12
Turbo tuner, J Cantrell wah, Alesis 3630
Green Rhino, Wampler Velvet, Strymon ElCap/Lex, Phase 45

i think it's just a pinch harmonic with not too much distortion. if you try to do a pinch on an amp with not too much gain dialled in it tends to sound like that.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
