I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Thought so. I saw the price in the email the other day and dithered. Don't worry, I had pretty much talked myself out of it before you got it- it was an absolutely killer price, just it wasn't exactly what I'd have wanted (I'd have preferred a custom 22 I think).

Awesome score

Yeah it didn't hit me on the day the deal was available, but then the day after it hit me that I should check the original email about the boss gone mad sale. It was £1799 at the start of the sale- as you said, for some reason they just dropped the price by £550 on the Thursday.

Don't feel guilty about it, those deals are first come first served. I've got plenty of good deals over the years (plus as I said, I'd talked myself out of it anyway).

Looks awesome in your pics, very nicely-taken photos

I only found out the existence of the store early last week from a friend, I normally go to GuitarGuitar as it is 2 min car ride from work. Someone told me about the sale in GV for the week. I was thinking about getting a Les Paul, they had 15% off all Gibson which was a decent discount.

I always wanted a PRS but because i wanted a USA one i just couldn't afford it/justify the normal price tag it commands, but on that price, how can you say no?

There was another that sold in the last hour on Friday too, that was at £1799, in a different colour but Custom 22 i think.

i must admit, that PRS has better wood than my carvin.

albeit, my carvin is the standard flame maple (AAAA?) and the PRS is a "TEN TOP" or whatever. bottom line that PRS is impressive. its why its PRS. amazing guitars. price is sure a heck of a lot more retail than my carvin....so i suppose theres the justification (as well as everything else that is probably nicer than my carvin, namely, pickups).

Good timing

Yeah £1799 would be a bit much. I mean I could barely justify it at £1249, but £1249 was a good enough price that (had it been exactly what I wanted, i.e. a 22 with the right neck profile) I might have gone for it on the basis that it was one of those one-off deals that you might never come across again.

But yeah it was a killer deal, and it looks really nice from your pics (i.e. nothing wrong with it, not b-stock or anything like that).

I called them up today because it's missing some papers and the wrenches (they are posting that to me this week), I got the headstock tag so it's all good as that's the birth certificate. Anyway, the guy on the phone said "oh that one, I remember that PRS, amazing deal that, we had 6 emails afterwards asking about it, and it was actually a misprice, but we honored it anyway"

Which makes sense, it was cheaper than the 2nd hand one there buy £250!

I had doubts for 36 hours whether it was too good to be true, whether it was secondhand, or even a SE! Glad it's not hehe

Cheers. That was my back up colour I wanted. The cheeryburst didn't look too good in the flesh imo and the price was still above £650 so I decided on that one pretty quickly

Will be doing a NGD for it soon plus my other gear I got.

yeah cherryburst is nice when it's nice but it can turn into clownburst if you're not careful

I like the blue. But then I like blue (especially on maple tops), it's one of my favourite guitar colours.

EDIT: and yeah if it's the exact same guitar, i'd go for the second choice colour too for a decent saving. unless i hated the other colours
