This is a short song I wrote today called "Time". It's definitely not my best, but the chorus came to me and I just slapped the rest of it together... (Constructive Criticism anyone?)

In this car with the hammer down I
Can't find a place to turn around
Might end up runnin' dry

Left outta town around 6am
Not a word to you but I pretend
Everything is A-okay...

I think I'll be fine in a minute
I might just think about the end
I think I'll be fine in a minute
I just need time to clear my head

Said goodbye when I took you home
Can't even reach you on the phone
Dunno where the Hell I am

I know it hurts and leaves a scar
I can't just tell you who you are
Have I ever known?

I think I'll be fine in a minute
I might just think about the end
I think I'll be fine in a minute
I just need time to clear my head

Time to close these wounds
Time to fight this off
Time to heal these scars
Time to start things new

I think I'll be fine in a minute
I might just think about the end
I think I'll be fine in a minute
I just need time to clear my head

I think I'll be fine in a minute
I might just think about the end
I think I'll be fine in a minute
I just need time to clear my head

Sort of a throw together tune, but it does sound better with the guitar part in there.

I really like it. Nice and simple while still creating an image in my head and it avoids being pretentious or too cliche.

I'm no expert but this is solid in my opinion. Very enjoyable. I agree with Snazzy too. I mean, just reading it and it flows, not knowing the rhythm or style of music. It just flows.

Even without the guitar it has great flow! Complexity is overrated, and is often overwhelmingly and difficult to understand. To express a concept with such depth and clarity is anything but "simple". It's extremely difficult, but as you have demonstrated, simplicity is.beautiful and a true work of art.
