Tell about your audition stories

Do you come prepared, or they show you how to play their songs, etc..

I just walk in, nod for a bit and then leave
do the same for job interviews and it's never let me down
It's over simplified, So what!

Big ones can be fun in some ways but generally, they are a pain in the ass.

Haha I know this is the pit but come one guys... If it's a audition for a band with anything recorded I like to show up after already learning a couple of their songs by ear, this will usually impress them. Then it's a good idea to just jam and see if the chemistry is there. If not, it usually isn't worth your time.

Well when I played the baritone in middle school I auditioned for state and really didn't try to hard because I'd much rather be skating at the park so I got 2nd chair.
