Right, scientists do make lots of crazy experiments or they want to do but they are not permitted because of moral & law related limits.

What crazy experiments would you like to do if there was no such limitations?

Mine would be raising a man inside a fully white room with no enterance & exit. With 0 contact to actual world. Providing food & water without him knowing where it came from. probably dropping food in when he is asleep or something. Would be exciting to see how he would react when he goes outside, sees himself in a mirror and creatures similar to him.

We scientists still do such experiments, we just hide it from the general public
You who build these altars now

You must not do it anymore

yeah exactly. Nazi experiments are terrifying but its a fact that they did accelerated scientifical improvement exponentially

shhhh. not everyone is capable of hiding things from general public. Also the practical use of results from such experiements are questionable.

interesting one.

I guess if the limitations were limitless and i had the knowledge/money/man-power it would be to put human organs inside animals and vice-versa so we can try to communicate with animals at least on their own level, especially with animals closely related to us.

I think communication between animals (and by communication i mean giving animals body parts to help them speak/wave or WHATEVER, and then bringing them up in an envrionment where they learn how to survive based on human interaction.

Id love to do this (not in the real world, too many ethical issues for me! lol, but from a science-fiction pov) just to find out a bit more on free will and consiousness.

Always found it fascaninating that if you observe humans, they are no different than just normal animals.. its not until they start communicating that they seem like a real person.

You can always do the other way around. Take animal organs and somehow put them into a human. Instead of changing the nature man should adapt to nature. Especially when it comes to percieving things we are very limited compared to animals, who can sense things that we cant, hear the frequencies we cant.. Also dont forget things that bats and dolphins do with echoes and stuff

Well... I would not want to be in that position because I have the mind of a madman.

I would make human/animal hybrids with cannons on their chests that could fire lasers from their eyes AND I WOULD TAKE OVER THE WORLD AND RULE IT WITH MY LEGION OF ATOMIC SUPERMEN!

>_>
Sat in a lab, curing diseases. They actually LET me play with chemicals!

So, Allegory of the Cave basically?

basically yes. but you can always add in fun stuff like, all of a sudden filling the room with water to his neck level. then drain the water. see his reactions to different aspects of nature.

thought of something similar to that, but instead of letting the person out:

do the same thing with other people with similar characteristics, but in different color/value rooms (grey/black/red/blue/yellow/etc.) to see if the varied exposure of colors affect their psychology differently.

also, making a concoction loaded with low-level doses of many many different psychoactive drugs. results probably wouldn't be that interesting though

The color concept is impressive. It might give nice results or even no result at all as there will only a single color and his own color that he can see. Also it may even cause changes in his brain / eye as he is being raised as a baby. As Only light source will be mono colored.

Well thought

There's a difference between tame and domesticated.

Yea domesticated bears. Put a chip in their head that makes them easy to control. They'd be much better at guarding a house than a dog.

Yeah wait until he forgets to feed it one day.

OT though I'd train and brainwash a bunch of people to be super soldiers blindly devoted to me, then transfer their brains into the bodies of emperor penguins and then use them to invade New Zealand. See my normal cannon fodder troops will be the anvil then the elite penguin marines will swim up and be the hammer hitting them hard in the flanks and rear.

I would see how much sex a man could have (with women(sexy women)) before he reaches the breaking point. I would be the subject of course.
