Hello UG forum

I was wondering if anyone got a tip for converting your mix down to mp3 format.
I'm working in cubase and when I use it's converter I feel like I my lows and high frekvens in the mix just become muddy instead.

Can you choose a higher bitrate?

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

Are you listening to the MP3 on the same listening system, through Cubase? It's possible whatever program the MP3 is playing through has EQ turned on in the settings, or it has a poor MP3 playback codec.

Two main components you'll need to research include VBR/CBR and Normal Stereo Vs. Joint Stereo. Anyway i've never used Cubase.

I Googled Cubase' Mp3 conversion and it appears different versions of Cubase use different encoders.

I find LAME to not be as stable as Fraunhofer, in my experience.

It might be beneficial to download a program called "Switch" which you can convert almost any audio file to any other. (The trial has limitations)
