^^ Yea, Crosses might be the only new music I know of that came out. Oh and Chevelle released a new album, or is about to or something. I suck with keeping up with stuff.

Waiting for all that shit to come out.

Utterly depressing album

And this performance. Some might not like it, but I'm totally into it; the mood, this guy's awesome moves etc.
And what is more, there's been a bloody purple nose and some bloody purple clothes that were messing up the lobby floor. It's just apartment house rules so all you 'partment fools remember : one man's ceiling is another man's floor.

just throwing this out there but Mock Off released what is considered a really good album.

Haven't listened to much this year outside of the new St Vincent and La Dispute albums but neither of them impressed me on first listens. Need to catch up on the year.

I like these threads because I have no time to keep on the lookout for new stuff other than being impressed by live bands at gigs.

got a lot of good stuff out of previous threads.

so far this year only seen one local band with a 2014 release I liked:

most other decent bands I've seen this year last released in 2013
O.K.

@Bob I need to listen to that Young Fathers album. One of my friends really likes it and keeps talking about it.

@RPGoof I liked Shelter but it kinda disappointed me cause I expected the whole thing to be as good as "Opale"

Glad it was at least mentioned, but needs a link!

Absolutely!

Some others:

Periphery - Clear
Cynic - Kindly Bent To Free Us
Icarus The Owl - S/T

CHIODOS, AAL, The Word Alive, Devin Townsend, Mastodon, Periphery again, Anthrax, Killer Be Killed (Dillinger/Mastodon/Soulfly/Mars Volta side project), and Slash are also on my hype list for this year. It's gonna be a good year for music

Here's Icarus The Owl and Killer Be Killed because they both need more hype:

Some cool new Math Rock-esque stuff

Just good straight-forward metal
