hello guys. so my MXR 6Band EQ has suddenly started causing this high pitched whistling sound out of my amp. tried it with different amps, in/out of fx loops. I'm powering it with a Belcat PSU, and it works fine with my other pedals but the MXR is the one causing the noise in the loop. It worked fine when I ran it on battery, but I'm curious as to what the whistling sound could be.

Power supply issue? The pitch of the whistling changes depending on how many pedals are plugged into the power supply, which is why i'm thinking that.

what type of music do you play?

if you play mostly bees in a box music then go wt the MG
if you play transformers, more than meets the eye, then Spider.

Your supply isn't supplying enough current it sounds like, you need a more heavy duty one.
I'm just a kickin' and a gougin' in the mud and the blood and the beer.

i see. thats odd though, because the supply is rated at 60mA per output, and i thought the MXR only draws 3mA..
