Sailing the Haze

I’ve been sailing the haze in a cycle it seems because I don’t recognize this place.
But I know this bumping in my head and I sure do recognize this taste.
Cause I’ve had it for days. From the nights where my sights have been leading me further astray.
And it’s not that easy to get there but I guess I just make it look that way.

Now you are amazed that a man with no plan could have shaken the walls from the frame.
So I’ve got you on the edge of your seat, little baby doesn’t want to keep it tame.
Come play this game that lovers do and once again you’re
Up all night well just give me the truth.

That I’m the man that you prayed for. Well, I’m right outside your door.
I’m a night of sin with a bottle of gin. Oh lord.
I’m the man that you prayed for and I’m right outside your door.
I’m a night of sin with a bottle of gin. Oh lord.

And you were the dame.
Unannounced but pronounced and you know that I’m glad that you came.
But I will be gone before the sun comes up and the morning cites your shame.
But Don’t you refrain.
No, you can’t reprimand to the hand you were dealt on the day.
Precautions baby, don’t get scared. How’s about my place? I’ll get you there.

And that was the way that it came and it went all the time that we spent in a Haze.
And you know I’m likely to be there, well darling I said to be prepared.
Come play this came that lovers do and once again you’re up all night well what can you do.
I don’t know your name and I don’t care too. Just come along and be my girl,
go on and give me the truth.

That I’m the man that you prayed for. Well, I’m right outside your door.
I’m a night of sin with a bottle of gin. Oh lord.
I’m the man that you prayed for and I’m right outside your door.
I’m a night of sin with a bottle of gin. Oh lord

I thought it was good. Although, a few of the rhymes seemed forced (reprimand to the hand).

"Now you are amazed that a man with no plan could have shaken the walls from the frame." I particularly liked this line.
"I am alone. Goddamn. That shit hurts sometimes, but I realize what I am, what I have become. The alien man waved his arms up and down and noticed that he couldn't wave in the right language so he stopped."

Thanks for the feedback.

When you mentioned forced rhymes, I was sure you were going to mention Place and taste or Door and Lord

I admit, that I utilize my pronunciation of the lyrics to my advantage. I want to get a recording of this up on my profile. Hopefully it sounds less forced than it reads.
