Any tips/tricks/advice on writing a similar musical style to this band:

Do you know why no one responded (until now)? Because the obvious answer to this question always is: listen to and study music in that style. And "study" means you analyze songs in that style. See what "worked", what "didn't work", what you liked or disliked, etc. The point is to figure out BOTH the how (how to play/compose in that style) and the why (the theory behind it, so you can understand what's going on). No one is going to give you some great tip that makes it easy for you. YOU HAVE TO DO THE WORK, MAN!
