Good evening!

I was woundering if it is possible to make a song by using Guitar Pro 6, and import it to Cubase 7 and use the "Amplitube" Plugin, to make it sound like a real guitar is being played? Just like making a drumtrack in EZ Drummer, it sounds like a guy is playing the parts.

Is this possible in the guitar world? I tried to Export from GP6 as a MIDI, and import it into Cubase, but it did not sound good at all. Is this the right way to do it?

Thanks for all the replys, guys!

You can get a VSTi guitar program, like EZ Drummer, but it will require a lot of work to get it sounding realistic. You'd be better off just recording the actually guitar/bass parts.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

Midi is just data, in this case pitch and minor dynamics.

You can use the midi with a virtual guitar instrument (plugin/synth), but not with something designed to use an audio (guitar) signal, so that means no amplitube, guitarrig etc.
