I have recently acquired a beautiful Hagstrom Super Swede and I love the sound it has with the stock pick-ups but I'm finding myself wanting more output especially for distortion.... Any advice on what pick-ups would maintain the stock sound but with more output....

What amp are you using? If you like your sound you should look into a transparent boost or cleanish OD instead. Any other pickups you get will change your sound.

Yeah... I know what you mean but you might be on a hiding to nothing if you're not careful. As offworld says, more output will, odds are, change the sound. a boost might not work so well with a solid state amp.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

A boost into a Pod will do pretty much the same thing it would with the amp being modeled. Part of the process is replicating the characteristics of the preamp section.

fair enough. I have no experience with the pod. I actually missed that bit when i first read it, I just saw the bit about the crate ss amp
