hello,
this question might be stupid, but I wan to be sure. Can I put Seymour duncan blackouts in my ltd m1000 (wich has 2x EMG 81)?. I'm asking this because I noticed that guitars with the sd blackouts stock have 3 knobs (tone, volume, volume) and mine only has two (tone, volume).
Can I just leave one out?
Thanks

Yes.

There is no correlation between pickups and controls. You can wire your pickups straight to your output with no controls at all if you want to (I don't recommend it).

Seymour Duncan's website has a ton of wiring diagrams available. Find the one that you want to do, and then just follow it.

You're probably looking to do this one, right? http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=2_blackouts_1v_1t_3w

Here's the 3 Way switch conversion diagram if you have a slotted switch. This threw me off for a while. http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=3ws_trans
