hey guys, Ive had an RG370dxl (I'm left handed) for quite sometime and I think it's time to move on to better things (with hardtail bridges, I'm sick and tired of floyd roses)

anyway, my definition of good tone is something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-zcsKGTTeU

however what I'm looking for is not a les paul, but something that can achieve this tone and has a fast neck as well, something that can shred too, so to speak

I think the specs I'm looking for could be something like this:
-Mahogany body, maple top
-fast maple neck, set in, ebony fretboard, 24 frets (would be nice if seven stringed option is available)
-double cutaway (I rather like the Ibanez shape but oh well basswood)
-hardtail bridge
-Passive pickups
-left handed
-does not cost the earth
-durable

so what do you guys think? closest thing I found was the hellraiser hybrid http://www.schecterguitars.com/guitars/hellraiser-hybrid-c-7-lh-detail but it has active pickups
I like this one too http://www.amazon.com/Dean-Chicago-ML-Electric-Guitar/dp/B00B7MXZ0M but only 22 frets and not a double cutaway and I don't know about the neck

anyway, I talk too much, any suggestions?

Do you have an actual budget beyond cheaper than Terra?

nope no actual budget as I'm still saving, but I estimate it around 800$ or something like that, maybe a but more but I'll have to save for that, nothing extreme though

I thought about PRS but I heard their necks were not very fast, not to mention the price :-(

PRS necks are plenty fast, but yeah they are hella expensive and worth every penny

Take a look at the Agile Custom Guitars page on Rondo Music's site.
All of those options are available.

Might also take a look at the Carvin catalog (might have to save a bit longer). All options available.
