ok so if there is another thread about my same exact issue already, I'm sorry but i couldn't find one so hear it goes: i have a fender squire electric guitar with single coil pickups and I'm getting a weird static/hum noise. whenever i touch the tuning knobs the noise increases. the same thing happens when i touch the strings and the pickup selector. but when i touch the input jack the sound decreases. so I'm confused on what to do. should i get shielded or is it a grounding problem? thank you for the help.i appreciate it

You should open it up and reground it (if you know what your doing). If the problem doesn't go away, take it to a guitar shop.
