I'm actually a few episodes behind on QI... I should catch up with that.

Anyway, it bugs me a bit that if QI goes exactly as planned, with a letter per year, I'll be 37 when it ends.

Oh no sickers, QI stays too much to its theme!

they could have made more but they went out binge drinking with all the pramfaces from the estates and all that
and after they spunked the budget on kababs and tennants super they went on a dentist lynching.

What!!!

Now I have literally no reason to watch tv anymore
Come back if you want to
And remember who you are
‘Cause there's nothing here for you my dear
And everything must pass

Yes it is.

Obviously the term 'spunked' in this instance refers to the wastage of money on takaway food and the beer known as 'Tennants Super', possibly derived from another term 'blown' which also means to waste money but can also have sexual connotations in a similar way to 'spunked'.
The rest of the sentence obviously refers to the 'lynching' (to be murdered by mob, often by hanging) of dentists, which is a well known pastime in Britain, hence why we all have bad teeth. My own father had medals for it.

See? It's a perfectly legible sentence.

There used to be a channel on Youtube by a dude called Panelshowfan which was really neat 'cos you could preview all kinds of shows. I don't think it's up anymore tho. If you watch QI largely 'cos of sh*ts and giggles you should check these out (in case you haven't yet):

-Never Mind the Buzzcocks
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPo4QuafJEI
they're not that consistently funny anymore since they started appointing guest hosts (although some were great like the one with Terry Wogan) but the ones with Simon Amstell hosting (season 19 through 22) were usually comedy gold

-Charlie Brooker's screenwipe
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7iQ4u3OX3Q
Ever since I saw that Super Sweet Sixteen review I've been hooked.
There are a few spinoffs (yearly recaps and such) and a few recurring bits like Doug Stanhope's rants (great if you're a fan of Bill Hicks-style humor):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlKJPf8btKE
The input by these two guys always cracks me up too (especially the lady, her delivery is always spot on):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSRXb2SesfE

-Mock the week
Don't really like the show, but whenever Frankie Boyle came on... Oh Boy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZTahQZs76Y
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmmomV-ax-s

-Countdown
It's a well known quiz that goes way back, but recently they started taping eps. with comedians. Those are called "8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown". It's usually not ROFLOL-funny, but very entertaining to watch nontheless (I actually play along with a piece of paper with the quiz-bits 'cos they're quite fun). Plus, the assistant (Rachel Riley) is SMOKING hot

If you like that show look up "Big Fat Quiz of"... they're making more and more of those too

...aaand that's about all the time I want to spend on UG for today, so cheers

Hollyoaks, TOWIE, Made in Chelsea, The Valleys, Geordie shore, Sun sex and suspicious parents.

If you don't watch these you don't love British television.

God save....

@shwilly: Yeah, I was going to recommend him some of these shows too.
Charlie Brooker is great. I really have to catch up on Weekly Wipe, the episodes I've seen from this last series are great. And yeah, Barry Shitpeas and Philomena Cunk are just amazing

As for Mock the Week, it's a decent show. I like the general chat/banter bits better than the stand-ups and the Scenes bit. Both because I like the format more and because I love the #bantz involving Dara Ó Briain. Apparently a lot of comedians hate it because it's really competitive. (Also, btw, it's got a terrible fanbase. The Youtube comments on most MtW videos are pretty cringey.)

I'd also recommend Big Fat Quiz of the Year, Have I Got News For You and Was It Something I Said (but watch the extended versions of WISIS, they're much funnier).
