Although I knew about half of the words in the second list, I would never use most of them casually in conversation or in writing. Those would definitely be thesaurus words.

I'm feeling quite stupid right now. So many of those were words that I have heard/read and I thought I knew what they meant. Since I was not entirely sure, I left them blank. I won't pretend that there were many that I just did not know though. I am also not proud.

Ok so I read how this test works. It's kind of weird how they set it up. The first round determines the second round. They use the first round to determine what your vocab is like, and then give you a personalized list in the second round. The first column should be all words you know, the last column should be almost all words you don't know.

So if you only choose a few words in round 1, your round 2 will be very easy.

As a second language speaker it seems i'm at least on par with most first language speakers. I should probably read more though.

22,100 2nd language.

Is also everyone accurate? Cause some words I heard, but don't know the meaning so said no.

For example "soothsayer" buckethead song, but didn't click cause wtf does it mean.

Also Polymath, logic tells me math of multiple levels, but I don't know if this is true definition didn't click.

Few more where I clicked, but un-clicked because when thinking about it I really couldn't concretely give definition.

Also didn't click words which I know the "feeling" off and when to use it, but don't know concretely the defintion.

Like people know the word envy, but when I ask what's the difference between envy and jealousy a lot don't know it..off course a lot of people do know, but still something to think about.

And people who think those 2 are are 100% synonymous lack emotional quotient

I learned something new today

Also you seem quite knowledgeable, could you tell me if all those words were objectively words or slang/descriptive derivatives?

Like raggamuffin.. is that a class word, or something that slipped in over time?

In retrospect I guess knowing slang as well as "old fashioned words" is equally good vocabulary.
