I'm not sure if this is going to work or not but let's see.

I'm going to allow 7 octaves. We will call them 1,2,3,4,5,6,7.

So you can have C1, C2, C3, etc, D1, D2, D3, etc.

The note length will be whole, half, quarter, eighth, sixteenth, thirty second, sixty forth and you can have dotted as well.

And you can have one rest out of 4, 2, 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64

Example:

C2 1/2

1/2 rest

Or

C2 1

(no rest)

Obviously this is going to be avant-garde as ****. Maybe it can be the pit theme song, who knows?

The pit seems like it would need a Waltzy theme song

It's ok if we don't define a time signature because we're deciding the note lengths individually. It will be the same in any time signature.
#15
you can choose one if you like i didn't want to be too limiting

you can also make chords if you like

after a few pages i will put it all into a sequencer so we can hear what it sounds like

People, you have to specify the duration of the rest!

truuuuue. we didn't specify a time signature so i can't just say rest/half rest

C#1 for 4, 1/4T amp modulation

lol i knew it was only a matter of time

No, the duration of a rest, just like the duration of a note, doesn't depend on the time signature.

I have a gd feeling about this

Did you hear about the cockney Godfather?

He made them an offer they couldn't understand.

AbMaj7 root position (should we specify only if it's inverted or a slash chord?) 1/2

That's a Bb/C, Nico.

And that's a Gadd9/B, Mac.

It depends on it's function
This song needs a key signature
