Dude, y'all are in like the exact same boat as my band status-wise.

I can't check it out yet at work, but I will as soon as I get off. I'll review it, then send a C4C to you.

If you have more than one song, I'll link more than one C4C

can you just send the link without the facebook part?, I can't go to facebook.

He has another song on the FB version of the link too.

And thx for the plug, sweetie

I'm reviewing now. Gimme 15-20, TS

EDIT: The Push Behind the Fall:
The song arrangement style and the riffing is a bit disjointed for the first half of the song for my taste, but it actually gets really good about 3 min in. Overall it feels a bit unorganized. Most of the riffs and even the vox are pretty solid, but many of the transitions are very odd. I get that it's deathcore/death metal/progressive/, and there's bound to be some herky jerkiness, but a lot of it was just kinda distracting.

The mix def needs some work. The cymbal playing throughout was so much higher in the mix than anything. It almost sounds Live

It's solid, it just needs work and some direction. Trim the fat as well, sometimes less is more.

7 Seconds:
It's about a min in (just after the fast part kicks off) and I'm already liking this song a LOT more than the first song. I was kinda picturing this song being played Live in my head in my head as I was listening, and it sounds like a real MOSHER! The sweep picking was pretty awkward sound, as it just didn't build into that section properly enough. Not to mention it sounded like several mis-notes were hit. Ending's cool, and the last second of the song revealed that, Yes, you guys were probably playing live. That being said, most of the mixing and EQ stuff just is what it is. Better song than the first, but may need a few tweeks here and there to meet it's potential in future.

Funny i was actually looking at your thread after i posted mine and started listening to the stuff and began writing a review haha. ive been busy with some other things tho but im back.

you'd be suprised to know that none of this is live lol. the drums are a blend of triggers, im limited to the sounds on the drum brain right now can't figure out the midi i have the stuff tho also it's all recorded on one track so i can't control the snare kick etc individually , so yeah a blend of triggers and at2020 over head microphones, plus to kick drum mics in the kicks but i hardly used those tracks.

then the guitars i recorded dry and am using some free poulin vst plug ins for the amp. i can't get them to sound nearly as good as any video on youtube or people that claimed to use it .

bass was the same deal and vocals were just straight up into the at2020.

I'm working on figuring out how to get a better sound i think using my amp instead of plug ins and figuring out how to midi in the drums via triggers on a live kit will help alot. But thanks for the honest review man! I thought that the second song was worse than the first haha. the transistions do need work as well also i think adding some good rthyem will help too! ill go get on finishing that review.
