Hey guys! So I'm shopping for a new amp and I really don't get anything haha. Some people say that this certain amp is bad but some say its good so yeah.

Budget: $100-150 (its not much, i know)
Music preferences: I like bands like Guns n Roses, AC/DC, Metallica, etc. and Eric Clapton

Amp is only going to be used for practice in my bedroom/living room. (but if its possible to get a nice amp for gigging in this kind of budget then please suggest)

Got no gear currently. Buying a Yamaha Pacifica 012 soon but that's probably it. I'm also a beginner btw. (just know a couple of chords and a few scales but thats it) I'm guessing I'd also need a guitar cable too . Thanks in advance!

I was thinking Fender Mustang I (if I could extend my budget) or the Roland Cube 15-XL. Would it be worth it to get the Mustang instead?

Ive had my Mustang II (V1) for quite a while and I love it. The built in amp modelling effects and Fender FUSE software will keep you going for a long time.

Where in the world are you located?

You can get a used Mustang II for $100. I highly recommend it. Those tiny 15W amps suck because they have tiny, crappy 8" speakers. A proper 12" speaker makes a huge difference.

I live in Manila, Philippines. If it helps I use this site: http://www.yupangco.com (conversion rate is Php45 = $1. i think theres a currency selector there anyways)
Theres a Line 6 Spider IV 15 for sale on there that's like 30% off. (around $130 right now) Any thoughts on it? My parents aren't real fond of buying used stuff and I doubt I'll find a used Mustang II but I'll try to find one anyway. Thanks for the help so far guys

No way on the Spider. Stay far away.

If you can't go used, just get a Mustang I. It's probably your best option for the sounds you want.

Okay thanks a lot guys I guess I'm going with the Mustang I (that is if I can extend my budget by a bit). If not, I'll get the Roland Cube 15XL.

Wait for yupangco's summer sale this april so you can have other options. If you have the budget, buying both amp and guitar may get you a better deal. They sometimes slash the amp price if you buy a guitar.

Cube.

Yeah that's what I was planning to do haha. Is the Cube that much better than the Mustang I? Seems like a lot of you recommend it.

Here is a Micro Cube demo where the guitarist can actually play pretty well. (in Spanish but you'll get the idea) A lota guitar tone for the price of one pedal. I like the Micro Cube amp voicings better than the Cube 15XL.

Here is the Fender Mustang I with a decent player.

Trust your ears as both are pretty nice. I am a pretty Fender friendly player but I do prefer the Roland Cubes a bit.

I'm kinda liking the Mustang I more than the Cube after listening to those videos. They are using different guitars though which makes the tone differ a bit. I guess I'm going to go with the Mustang I. Thanks for the help guys really appreciate it
