At home it's a Pod HD Pro

At school it's a Fender Blues Deluxe, or I'll run my Pod into it for FX.

I was thinking something by Dimarzio

Never had the Evo set. Have an original Super Distortion set in my vintage Dean and have bought a few lower output pups like the PAF Pro and the Air Norton etc... Wouldn't mind trying the EJ Customs in a guitar just to see if they're actually what they say they are.

The SD set sounds good but but that's probably the vintage mojo going on

To be honest, I've been like this for months with it, gonna try and learn to love it, also there's a buzzing coming from the input jack every time I seem to move it, so somethings up with it. I just can't find out what it is! Sounds really good, I just don't like playing it with my rig.

Check the solder joints around the jack.

IMHO the biggest mistake you could make is get rid of a nice playing guitar. There's no guarantees that your next one will be any good and you could be chasing the dragon with trying to make it work as well as your last one.

I mean, if you hate the thing, then by all means get rid of it. Personally I'd probably keep the V unless I could get a good price or a good trade deal.

It's probably just a little bit of corrosion on the live tab where it contacts the tip in the jack. Just clean it and bend the live tab inwards a little and that'll probably fix it.

I honestly feel a similar way towards my explorer. It sounds good and plays good, but it just doesn't feel like mine.

How do I do that?

Yeah, totally agreed. The big problem I have with the Gibson is the Scale length, that's really making it really hard to play for me. Always liked 25.5 scales and 24 frets.

Yeah, exactly I've got it open to offers on a few places right now and I'll only trade if I get a good feeling about it. Turned down about four trades already, because of it. Haha

Why the heck did you buy one in the first place then. The scale length wasn't 25.5 when you bought it
