Hey all. I just wanted help to choose a guitar. I'm looking for a <$1000 either semi or fully hollow body guitar to get some early rock and roll tones as well as some jazz/swing tones. Am I better to go with something like The Loar Lh650 or something like a hagstrom viking? P90s preferable.

Thanks all.

Hagstroms are very good. I like the Tremar Deuce F, personally.

I'd also consider the Godin Kingpin II, the Reverend Manta Ray 290 or HB, or the Reverend Club King RT or 290. You may also be able to find a Reverend Tricky Gomez for about that price, too.

If you want an archtop in that price range, take a look at Eastman's AR503CE:

Very nice guitars.

Rondo Music has the WNO 630 series. I'd put toasters or HB-size P90's in one of these...
