Wrote this for my friend. He is my brother and he's gone away now. Written for the day I meet him again.

We were tight knit boys, brothers with different names
You would fight for me and I would do the same
And it cut me deep, knowing you’d gone away
But everything goes away, yeah everything goes away

You were my best friend; we would fight till the end
Standing on the edge, watching the time roll In
As the clock strike noon, I could only think of you
Watching you walk away, yeah watching you walk away

It’s been 4 long years, and far to many tears
We have grown apart, so different from the start
And now I’m seeing you, I don’t know what to do
What has become of you, yeah what has become of you?

Catching up with you, you have stayed tride and true
You have stayed the same, the brother I always knew
The bonds been mend, never to break again
Not everything fades away, something’s are meant to stay

We were tight knit boys, brothers with different names
You would fight for me and I would do the same
Though we grew apart, we were strong from the start
Not everything goes away, close bonds are meant to stay.

Nice!

Somehow it sounds like Hip Hop. But I like your rhymings.

Maybe you should insert a bridge or an intro/outro in order to let the audience experience more variety. The way you rhyme is very tense, so a little break out of the corset would boost joy of listening.

However, really good work!
