Which amp should i buy?

I also want to play rock, and almost all other styles too.
#2
You can snag a used peavy valve king for that much but it doesn't include shipping.
Anyway can you post your location (for craigslist), if your willing to go used, bands you like/want to sound like, are you just playing by yourself or in a band? Any and all info will help us help you get the best amp possible for your needs.

I'd honestly fap to anything with a set of genitals as long as I find it aesthetically appealing.

A used Peavey Vypyr (preferably the Tube 60, but that might be slightly over budget) is probably your best choice, but more Information would be useful.
#4
Either a vypyr tube 60 or a jet city twenty watts combo.
Or even a classic 30 maybe, if you can find one for that money.
Name's Luca.

Clue: amplifiers amplify so don't turn it on if you need quiet.

I guess spambots are now capable of reading minds.

I wouldnt recommend a classic 30 for metal or anything high gain maybe with a tube screamer. Yeah I know it has more gain then my amp but my amp takes pedals like a god.

What's your Definition of Metal? Tons of Genre's and Sub Genre's out there.

Based off the loose term "metal" I'm going to have to say Peavey Vypyr.

Hey.
What about Peavey Vypyr VIP1? Or maybe a Line6 Spider IV 15? Roland Cube 20 XL?

save your money for a little while and you will be much happier.

spiders are probably one of the WORST things you could buy terrible sounding shit.

the cube isn't great but i would take it over the spider, and least its respecable.

one of the 1x12" valveking wouldn't be the worst the stock tubes suck and you would probably want an OD or EQ or speaker.

the best thing you can do is go to a store and spend a while going around and playing everything they have things both underbudget overbudget, whatever. they WANT to sell you an amp, most are patient. bring YOUR OWN guitar in when trying amp. take your time.

I'd hang off for a while if you can and save up a bit more. You're halfway there already to being able to afford something decent.
A Vyper Tube or a JCA5012C would be good budget amps. The JCA's (Jet City) come in mid gain and high gain. I think that ^ one is the high gain one. Somebody more in the know about which one is which will probably chime in.

OK as a practice amp but that's all it is. Save your money and get something good, something that will keep up with a drummer and still sound good.

Are you in the US?
If yes, just go to guitarcenter.com and search the used section for Peavey Vypyr 60 or 120.
There is a 120 for 150$ and a 60 for 200$ right now!
