My guitars strings keep popping out when i abuse the whammy and i dont know why. on my other floyd guitars i can abuse them any which way and the strings dont budge. can anyone help? this guitar is strung with lower gauge strings than my others and the string tension is a lot less.

Are the strings clamped tightly?

yes to try and stop them popping out. i just dont get it. it doesnt happen with my other guitars. a guitar tech i took it to said it was probably because of the deep hole beneath the trem but its not like steve vais lion claw cavity...

Try clamping the end of the strings with a pair of pliers so that the string is flat when you put it in. Works for me.

Yeah, works wonders, man...especially if you use thicker strings.
