Hey all,

The title says it all. I've been searching with no luck for the chords (unfortunately not skilled enough for tabs) to a song called Lady Gypsy by David Brent a.k.a. Ricky Gervais. All I end up getting is Gypsy by Lady Gaga and that is very different from what I'm looking for. It's a great song! Can anyone else find it? Would anyone be willing to type it up?

Here's a link to the YouTube vid.

I can do the song for you with no problem...however, the only problem is I can not find any lyrics to cut and paste anywhere on the internet... So If you type the words up and post them back here I will do the song for you .... It would only take me a little time to do it....
Without the words and where the chords go would not be practical... So if I see the words here I will do the rest..ok

Thanks so much! I had to ask a friend of mine from England the name of the town Didcot, but the rest was easy to sort out. If there's an easier way for me to format this for you, let me know. I really appreciate it!

When I'd known only... 18 summers.
I headed west through... the Whitley Wood.
To make my fortune and... find a lover.
And to lead the best life... a young man could.
Lie, La, la lie, la la lie.
Oh La la lie, la la lie, la la lie.

And by the lakeside, just south of Didcot.
I spied an angel just... standing there.
She was a traveler... but she was pretty
And clean, she was in the water... washing her hair.

I lost my heart to a... lady gypsy.
So long ago, I... forget her name.
But I still remember the... smell of the flowers
And the way, my life, would never be the same.

She laid me down on a... bed of heather
She said, please be careful, this is... what I sell
I said, you're a hooker she said, no, I mean the heather.
I sell the heather... like a lucky spell.
I said huh, but to be clear then... the sex is free
She said, yes, the sex is free... the heather is a pound.
I said, I don't need no heather... and if I did,
I would just pick some... it's free... it's growing in the ground.

I lost my heart to a... lady gypsy.
So long ago, I... forget her name.
But I still remember the... smell of the flowers
And the way, my life, would never be the same.

I lost my heart to a... lady gypsy.
So long ago, I... forget her name.
But I still remember the... smell of the flowers
And the way, my life, would never be the same.

When I had known only 18 summers....
