What do I think?

Enough that after playing one in a local store last Monday......I ordered one in the color I wanted. They said it should be here in another week or so.

It really felt nice and sounded really great. Light and comfortable.

Pick-ups were sweet and versatile with the push/pull pots....wide range of sounds.

I think I'll be well served with it for a long....long time.

Haven't played it., but I really like the cherry red color. The cream pickup guards somehow match the red.

I think you might be confusing the SG Special with another guitar. The SG Specials and JRs have the same bridge/tailpiece as the standards.

The last one I saw had a wraparound bridge. Gibson has confused the hell out of everyone buy switching the names/features associated with certain guitars
