I'm looking into options for duplicating my Fender Blacktop Floyd Rose Strat in a cheap manner, as I don't want to drop another $500 at this time. I found a Squier Showmaster body for cheap, it's routed for 2 humbuckers and a Floyd Rose, but it's built for a 24 fret neck, parts and shipping it comes in at $95. I found a first run Stagemaster neck for around the same price but it's 22 frets, same bolt pattern, both guitars have a scale length of 25.5. Will the 22 neck fret neck fit the 24 fret body?

EDIT- I have all of the other parts laying around so this would essentially be a $200 duplication
Out here you've gotta know where your towel is!

The short answer is, probably not without some wrangling.

There are many things to consider. In your case, a 24 fret neck is probably not the same length as a 22 fret neck, even if it's the same scale, so you can't do a straight swap.
