Decent production value. I solo didn't really do much for me though. It felt like it was stopping and starting over again. I am of the belief that a solo should help tell the story and not just be there for the sake of having one. So I would say take another stab at that. Also the vocals are inherently lacking bass so I'd beef up the bass guitar to fill it out a little more. And hell, if I am gonna be picky I suggest putting a little more flare into the drums to pick up the energy a bit.
I hope that helps you out. I would enjoy your thoughts on a song I have in the work. Is not metal but whatever.

hey korn thanks for the feedback

yeah looking back a bit more bass in either the guitar or pumping the bass might have given it a bit more thump but I disagree about the solo - I think it builds up nicely to conclusion

thanks again

Great riffs man that shit is catchy as ****.
Everything sounds great but the guitars sound a bit boxyish but other than that great song.

cheers for the reply

I think the boxish sound is due to my guitar pickups (I used an Ibanez ART120 for this one) - the actives are good but dont have much bass

Hey man, I really like this one. The vocals remind me a lot of Soilwork. The guitar tone isn't too bad, but the sub-par pickups are somewhat noticable. Could be a lot worse though! The solos sound fine as well.

Btw I would be interested in doing some guest vocals for you if you'd like.

InnerDream,
I like the verse/main guitar riff (overall I like that better than the guitar riffs during the chorus & bridge). The drums sound very good. Guitar tone is very good. Vocal are well done (even if they're a touch too heavy for my taste). Parts of this song remind me of Metallica. Bass is fine. Please review my music at this link:

Really like the song. Guitar tone is sweet. As others have said, bass could perhaps be a bit more prominent, and perhaps a bit more distorted? Good singer, good rhythm guitar. I like the idea behind the solo, but think it needs to be sorted out in places and further practiced. As far as I can hear, the guitarist would have the required the skill, but perhaps he did not quite have the patience to get it 100% right…? Or perhaps the other band members got bored at listening to re-takes - common problem! All in all, really good stuff!

I know you've gotten a lot of requests for C4C, but if you get to it I would really appreciate your views on my latest piece (it is somewhat more deathcoreishly brutal & perhaps not to your taste)

ha funny you should mention the solo - It was a bit of back and forth with the solo player but I do dig the solo big time, I think it builds up nicely to a crescendo

I hope you didn't get me wrong, I like the solo for the reasons you said. But to nail each note 100% in this type of structure is darn difficult, at least to me, and sometimes it is worth not settling for anything less than perfect! At least not when it is within reach, as I think it is here…

Rock on! And thanks for the critique by the way - appreciate the effort (to people not into the style, it tends to make their ears bleed)!

I hear some Pantera and FFDP, which is awesome (more for Pantera than FFDP haha).

This is one of my favorite kinds of metal, very in-your-face, really sets me up for anything.

The recording quality is pretty good, the riffs are nice and heavy, the solo was pretty original

Drums are simple yet effective, would've liked to see some crazy fills, but it's pretty good as it is anyways.

Vocals are undoubtedly my favorite part, almost to the level of Phil Anselmo on his better days, they hit like a train!

Pretty good song overall, it made me stomp along, keep it up!
