Hey guys. Im thinking about removing the tone pots on my strat, but do i need to solder them off? Or can i just cut the wire?

If you're replacing them, you can just cut the wire. If you are re-using the same pots, you may want to unsolder them.
Cut the wire as close as possible to the pot unless you are going to use all new wire.
You will need to rewire a bit if you are totally taking them out of the guitar, or something might not work.
