I got a Gibson Midtown Custom the other week which is really awesome, but no tremolo. I like a tremolo but don't like drilling holes in guitars, so was planning on one of the no-holes options like vibramate.

The Midtown is semi-hollow and - unlike a Les Paul or 335 - has a flat top.

Any suggestions as to which Bigsby/installation combo would work with this guitar? Someone has suggested a v5, but I was unsure whether that puts too much pull on the top of the hollow body.

Any ideas?
The Midtown Custom is not a "traditional" hollowbody; two large sections are removed from the body and a maple cap has been put on top of that. It seems to me that the section where you will be installing the V5 will be solid wood.
