hello there guys!

i have a very important question, my guitarist in my band has just had a check up and has been diagnosed with Bronchitis. here's the situation we are playing a charity gig THIS saturday (19th) and we need him there otherwise we're screwed.

He has Viral Bronchitis so i know that's contagious, would it be possible for him to wear a face mask whilst we perform? its only a 30 min set but its our first gig and its for a good cause.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

If your guitarist is REALLY sick, cancel the gig. I know it's hard but there will be more gigs in the future.
And no, Guitar Hero will not help. Even on expert. Really.

Agreed with AlanHB. The health of a human being is far more important than a gig, even more so if what he has is contagious.

I have done shows with a fever, I don't recommend it however.

And especially if it's your first gig... he will be coughing too much to play decently.

Yeah, he's out. Is it possible for you guys to go acoustic? Maybe you can just play chords and the rest of the band can take up some slack, make it happen?
