Say if I were to play downward through E minor pentatonic starting from E at the 9th fret of the 3rd string, but I missed out B on the 4th string and went straight from D to A, sliding my finger from the G string to the D string quickly to get a fairly unbroken sound, what is that technique called? I just can't think what people call it.

rolling?
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

"fudging it," i call it

i generally only do this when playing chords. like if a powerchord has to move from the 5th to the 6th string. most other times i try to use another finger if i have the room.

or if you know in advance that that's what you're going to do, you should do it properly with a roll

Yeah, it just came to me while making dinner; rolling was the word I was after I think, lol. Thanks.

when you're rolling your finger isn't supposed to slide in relation to the strings, you might be rolling incorrectly
