Hello,

Recently I recorded this and had a friend help me with the video work. I did a percussive guitar arrangement of So Cold by Breaking Benjamin.

Please let me know what you think of the recording and any tips on how to master it more effectively. I've been learning about the use of multi-band compressors and this is the first time I've used one on my tracks.

Thanks and looking forward to feedback!

I am utterly speechless.

Dude, you know what you should do? Become a master to most of the players out there!

That was a lovely performance and I can't comment upon it in any other way. I am amazed, totally.

The arrangement is basically second to none!

Keep up the good work!

I was pretty into this band and song in college. Enjoyed your take on it, very different to the rest of the stuff around here which is nice to see.

Got nothing to crit about it really, not exactly my forte :P , so will give my thumbs up. Keep up the good work!

Hello everyone,

Thank you for the compliments!

B3guitar - I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "become a master to most of the players" but it sounds intense haha.

xgary - Thank you

victorG - The main reason for playing with my hand above the neck is for the ease of getting my other hand in for notes. With both hands below the neck in this style you sometimes would run into each other, which may not have been a huge problem in this song. I'm sure it does affect the tone as well to some degree.

The guitar is great man! I am very much amazed! I used to love the shit out of this song, so it's quite refreshing to hear this sort of cover of it.

Anyway, could you do me a favor and C4C?

You can do some Kaki King's stuff (percussive guitar) like Bone Chaos In The Castle (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwkyDyyFrIc).

Or you can always create your OWN percussive guitar song with clearly audible motto/melody that repeats over and over the song. Also you can modulate to other tones/modes and play THAT motto in THAT tone, then back to the original, then modulate again, There's countless things you can do with.

Cheers! If you need any question about theory or how to compose it, PM me or add me on FaceBook: https://www.facebook.com/okta.benitez

See you!!
