So, my band collegue got a used VGS Spirit Pro, a PRS copy with a wraparound bridge and set-in neck. It's a nice looking guitar but we got it in an unplayable state. Even after putting the bridge on it's lowest setting, there's still about 5-6mm between strings and 12th fret. The neck is already pretty straight, tightening the trussrod will only result in more fret buzz at this point. The main problem is that either the neck angle is too low or the bridge is just way too high.

My question is, are there any flatter wraparound bridges out there? Could switching to a tunomatic system help? Are there any alternatives?

sounds like the neck angle is off

do you have a pic of the bridge/neck?
