I've got an LTD EC-1000 with LTD Locking tuners, but I want to change the buttons to vintage Kluson-style buttons like on LP's and SG's. I had a look around and I can't find any that screw in like my existing buttons. How would I go about installing them?

Why do you want to change tuners?
Most people prefer the locking tuners over the Kluson type.

Make sure the new tuners have a 10mm post size (some have vintage 9mm posts).
Put them on the guitar making sure they are straight.
Drill a pilot hole with a 1/16 bit.
Screw the set screws in and your done

Not change tuners, just the tuner buttons. So keep the locking tuners but replace the gold keystone buttons with the white plastic kind.

I don't think you can buy the plastic replacement buttons. All I have ever seen is metal, but check www.stewmac.com they may have something
