Hey UG people,

So I have been busking for a couple years and I for a while had a Roland Micro Cube that for some reason crapped out. I play mainly jazz when i busk, a four piece as in guitar (me), bass, drums, and saxophone. Now the Micro Cube was pretty good but i have heard of people using normal amps (as in good tone) with a rechargeable batter source/portable power. A friend recommended me a Duracell Powerpack 600 and i found that and a Powerpack 300. If there are some good math guys out there, would i need the 600 if i was playing through a fender hot rod deluxe for about 2-3 hours or the 600?

here are specs for both -
600 - http://www.duracellpower.com/documents/tech-specs/DRPP300.pdf
300 - http://www.duracellpower.com/documents/tech-specs/DRPP300.pdf

Obviously another other suggestions are also great and questions i'll answer.
Thanks GUYS!!!

I make it 1hr 20min at full volume. You won't be running it at full volume so you may get closer to 2 hrs but those amps drag a fair bit of current even when running quietly. Plus of course Murphy must always be considered. I'd assume that it would give between 1 and 1.5 hrs to allow for error and Murphy.

Murphy's Law - If it can go wrong, it will; and at the worst possible time.
It's the only law that always holds true.

would you explain Murphy?

Murphy's Law: "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong"

in this case you are anticipating the battery life may not be adequate for 2 full hours of playing.
punk isn't dead, it's always smelled that way.

Murphy will ensure that at least one of the batteries in the pack isn't up to spec.

Edit. That was presuming too much. Murphy has a better imagination than any mere mortal. I'm sure he'll find other ways to **** you up than just a dodgey battery.
